      Really liked this light tasting potato salad. A bit lighter version of German potato salad without bacon, bacon grease, etc. This one uses chicken broth to cook the potatoes and liked the idea of mashing small amount of potatoes to make a slurry. The amount of vinegar, mustard, and sugar was just right. I had two stalks of asparagus I wanted to use up and sliced them diagonally, parboil very quickly and added to the salad. Served this with leftover rib eye roast with au jus and horseradish sauce along with fresh corn on the cob. Gruner veltliner completes it.

      Makes a huge amount! Fairly simple but I wouldn't say this is a quick weeknight meal. Between prepping the shrimp, the vegetables, browning, then shredding the chicken, this takes at least an hour and a half. I used chicken andouille sausage, not very spicy. Any spiciness come from the sausage.

      Tasty sauce, too much garlic. Instead of tying the rolls I wrapped them in cling wrap, stored in fridge overnight and they held their shape. Did not need lemon juice or butter.

      This recipe made me happy with nostalgia - soo delicious! We split a small ribeye for 2 people which was plenty for us. The taste of sauce was perfect and so easy to make. Along with this, I also made frites from America's Test Kitchen to round out the dinner and broiled tomatoes.

      I made the frites part of this recipe. Loved the idea of adding cornstarch to potato pieces before double frying. Perfectly done!

      We love fish meuniere and this recipe is wonderful. Salting fish ahead and letting it sit for 10-20 minutes is also a classic Japanese method of eliminating any unwanted fish smell.

      Excellent flavour and cooking method for the wontons. I still find my patience worn thin by making so many little nibblies. The dipping sauce was only average though.

      One of the few recipes I can't think to make an improvement on. After one bite, I stopped caring about the messiness of serving this way, and just dug in.I did not use pork tender loin though, I used pork shoulder, and I used my grinder instead of the food processor.

      This is SO good! I LOVE the spinach and pine nuts variation (using Asiago cheese, which Kenji mentioned in the recipe's article but didn't reflect in the recipe), and my husband loves the original version with Provolone and Prosciutto. It is easy to make both versions in the same roll, because the herb rub is the same. It is so delicious with the cheese. We used the BelGioioso sharp aged provolone for this one, which has an entirely different flavor (much stronger) than supermarket young provolone. These also re-heat well and don't get dry!

      Very delicious banana bread! Watch out when you microwave the bananas - I guess I used a too small bowl, and the liquid boiled over the sides! Also, when you line the bananas along the top edges, don't put them too close to the edge or they will stick to the pan. Amazing banana flavor - not sure I'd use any other recipe after trying this one.

      Perfect carrot cake. Changed the spices to 2 t cinnamon, 1.25 t ginger, and grated nutmeg. Baked in 2 round pans for 35 minutes or so. Used the white chocolate cream cheese buttercream from The Cake Bible (instead of the frosting listed with this recipe). Amazing!!

      Absolutely delicious!! Replaced one third of the flour with whole wheat flour, and used 4oz of white sugar (instead of 7). Made one loaf and 12 muffins. Muffins were done in 25 minutes, loaf took about 50 minutes.

      HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I made it side by side with the older "Butterscotch Pudding" published by the same company in the America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook, and this one was SO much more flavorful. Because you end up cooking the caramel to a deeper color/flavor, it turns out a better pudding with WAY more intense flavors; it also has more rich ingredients (more butter and cream). The older ATK recipe (while good) is incredibly mild by comparison (kids might like it better). If you do make this amazing recipe, I'll add that we personally preferred it without the rum, though it's good with the rum too.
