CLASSIC HOT CROSS BUNS - this is my go-to recipe at Easter time! Never fails, my family gobbles these up.

My poor Canadian Living cookbook is quite worn and splattered, the spine held together now with duct tape, I have used it so much over the decades. It is truly a classic with many fabulous go-to recipes that my children grew up with. Although it is out of print, I'Ve been able to find used copies for my sons at Value Village.

I echo previous reviews, this is a Canadian classic. CL's recipes are triple-tested and always reliable. This book contains many family favourites. Salads such as the Make-ahead Coleslaw, Cauliflower Salad w Olives and Capers (which I've now adapted and make w roasted cauliflower) and the Cannellini Vinaigrette have appeared on many, many a buffet table here. Porcini and Pasta and Rigatoni w Sausage, Peppers and Eggplant are also great. Huevos Rancheros is another winner, especially that tomato sauce!
