Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Butterscotch and pecan marshmallow popcorn bites

    • JJ2018 on September 10, 2019

This was delicious but we could not get it to come together into balls at all and ended up making a slab and pouring chocolate on top.

  • Toffee apple and salted pretzel rocky road

    • JJ2018 on December 29, 2019

This recipe makes a lot of rocky road and I would have struggled to eat the portion as listed. It was a nice change to a more tradition recipe but I think I prefer a more usual recipe

  • Chorizo and membrillo grilled cheese French toast

    • JJ2018 on December 29, 2019

Nice twist on a cheese toastie

  • Indo-Chinese chilli paneer

    • JJ2018 on January 30, 2020

This took longer than I expected it to from reading the recipe but was really nice and different. I used one chilli when doubling recipe and this was sufficient. Would make again.

  • Beetroot and freekeh salad with tangerine and tahini dressing

    • pomona on September 27, 2023

Replacements: tangelo for tangerine, inca berry for cranberry, plain beetroot because I didn't have the fancy ones. Added parsley for a bit of green. Pretty great. The dressing was delightful.

  • Walnut, feta and mint pesto with sweet potato and wholewheat pasta

    • JJ2018 on September 05, 2019

Quick easy and tasty but for us there was just something missing. Perhaps we used too small a handful of mint

  • Saag halloumi

    • JJ2018 on September 05, 2019

We really enjoyed this. It came together really quickly and easily and looked just like the picture. It also tasted really delicious. A new weeknight favourite

  • Pancetta, Parmesan and pea farfalle

    • JJ2018 on September 10, 2019

This was brilliant - a super quick and easy pasta dish but tastier than other similar recipes tried before. Will make again.

  • Chicken pad krapow

    • JJ2018 on December 29, 2019

We needed to reduce the finger chillis slightly as a bit spicy for our taste but made with pork mince and served with greens it was a quick and easy evening meal

    • eleanor_a29a0o on April 11, 2026

We make this with turkey breast mince as we prefer it to chicken mince (and easier to get). One of our best midweek recipes, we make it most weeks!

  • Drunk Thai tagliatelle

    • JJ2018 on June 23, 2023

June 23 - enjoyed this but it was very salty and I don’t think I’d rush to make again. Used more prawns than stated as don’t think mine were as big as those shown in the photo

    • stephen_ln7ylp on February 02, 2026

Do you know how much salt it takes for me to say a dish is too salty? It's this much. Add sugar or cut the soy but half.

  • Tin and Thyme by Choclette

It’s full of interesting ingredients and flavour combinations with a strong nod to Asian cuisine. As the title suggests, all of the recipes are cooked on the stove top – no oven required.
