pg 134 sausage with carmelized cabbage and onions - simple recipe that yields tasty results that are very dependent on your choice of onion and sausage. I chose an onion that was too mild and got lost against the smoked sausage. But a great recipe to alternate with coleslaw to use up cabbage.

Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Mixed greens with pears and blue cheese

    • deanna_b8xvn7 on May 21, 2026

Easy weeknight dinner, whipped up in about 30 mins.

  • Honey mustard chicken thighs

    • Lottabooks on August 06, 2025

We tried not to eat all of this so we would have leftovers - but we heard the smallest of noises and turned to see our wonderful (and hungry) cat, Jimmie, was up on the counter licking the chicken, so we had to throw it away. So, a successful recipe for us and I guess for Jimmie. Bad kitty. Good chicken.

  • Spicy pork stir-fry

    • cameron_9ui0sv on March 09, 2026

I was expecting this to be too “simple” and therefore bland with only 5 ingredients, but this turned out to be very good and worthy of repeating. I used pork tenderloin (instead of just pork loin called for) and adding a cornstarch slurry at the end to thicken the sauce.

  • Cider and Dijon roasted pork

    • julie_o94mq6 on March 29, 2026

No picture today, proof of how good it was. I forget how easy and dependable a roasted pork loin is. A perfect Sunday afternoon meal! Tasty, with a little kick! Delicious!
