Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Spiced carrot hot cross buns

    • Taylorlc on April 21, 2025

Used half ap flour and half fmf (hard white) and a smidge of millet. These were delicious!!! I did not get the cross to come out, paste was way too thick. Maybe use royal icing next time.

  • Strawberry buckle

    • lkgrover on July 28, 2025

Excellent strawberry buckle -- the strawberries are mixed into a cake-like batter, added a streusel topping; then baked in a pie dish. I enjoy baking with fresh summer fruit.

  • Nova Scotia blueberry grunt

    • lkgrover on February 25, 2025

Delicious, rustic blueberry dessert with dumplings cooked in the fruit.
