Medrich's Berkeley bakery, Cocolat, helped reignite an interest in fine desserts in the U.S. I was lucky enough to live in the Bay Area while the shop was open and got to sample some of her desserts in person. Everything was superb, and this book records the best of the best of her recipes. A must for any chocolate-lover worthy of the name!

Extraordinary! I used to live up the hill from Cocolat and this was my favorite dessert. It is a little time-consuming but not difficult and feeds a crowd.
