    • marmite on July 12, 2013

I found it took at least an hour to cook.

      Delicious!

    • Grumbletum on July 21, 2018

This is the best banana bread recipe to date. Sprinkle a layer of sugar on top before baking to form crust. Bake for 60 mins.

I made a couple of changes- I added 150g dark muscovado as didn't want it too sweet and only had white spelt so used that and only had 325g of banana so added 25g more yoghurt to compensate. Missed out the nuts so added some raisins and a little nutmeg as I love it. Baked in my top oven at 170 for 50 minutes and it's delicious, really moist and light. I'm not sure whether it's my very favourite banana bread recipe but it's definitely tasty and I wouldn't rule out making it again.

I followed the recipe and it was delicious!

  • Elisabeth's lemon bars

  • Dittisham plum crumble

    • DeborahBluhm on July 16, 2014

The best one I've made! And easy to play around with different flours, fruits, and sugars even. It's a show stopper!

  • A good chocolate cake

    • DeborahBluhm on July 16, 2014

So fabulous! The most moist chocolate cake I've ever made and one of if not the best, I'm also not vegan. Ive made enough chocolate cakes to know! I also used the coconut oil from Ocado made by Biona that is manufactured specifically for baking and cooking… meaning it has no coconut flavour, so I will always use this method from now on for the ganache as its a lot healthier than glugs of cream. I couldn't tell the difference at all! Will prob use this as my chocolate cake recipe from now on.

  • Maggie's best chocolate chip cookies

  • Spelt bread & variations

    • Peerke on February 02, 2022

Very nice, but goes stale quickly, so best to freeze what you don’t eat immediately.

  • Mulled wine

    • Lillibet on December 23, 2012

Sounds too simple and plain but was really nice and spot on
