      My 1st time making vegetable stock. I didn't realize it was so easy. I won't be buying any more canned or boxed stock for our pantry. I'll try several more veggie stock recipes before rating this one. I used this stock for the soup on page 8.

      Note: Although this soup was very good, our dried dill was old and didn't lend even a hint of dill flavor. REPLACE old herbs and spices. ASAP Fresh-Flavor

      I made this recipe often when I was a grad student on a budget - it is delicious, filling, nourishing and very pleasurable to eat. It is also easy to prepare. Highly recommend for a nice, simple dessert or brunch dish.

      Great as written. For lower calorie casserole, substitute yoghurt for sour cream, use lowfat cheeses, and don't use the phyllo crust. Bake in greased 9x13 pan.

      Great as written. For lower calorie casserole, use lowfat cheeses, and don't use the phyllo crust. Bake in greased 9x13 pan. Broccoli/carrot slaw (same total) makes a good substitute for the cabbage and carrots, but I plan to try it with other crucifer mixes.
