Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Neapolitan-style pizza dough

    • Bloominanglophile on September 13, 2013

I have made this dough several times, and it has always worked out nicely. It probably isn't the ultimate recipe--I haven't tried enough other ones to dole out a judgement. I love to make this when my daughter has friends over and they stay for dinner. Designing their own pizzas is usually a novelty for them! When making pizzas with the kids, they roll the dough out on parchment paper, top them, and then I slide the whole thing into the oven onto my baking stone. It solves all sorts of transfer problems and you can write each kid's name on the parchment!

  • The pizza maker's sauce (Salsa pizzaiola)

This was a very nice pizza sauce. I did purée it at the end as I wanted to use it for a Pizza Margherita.
