Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Almond pancakes with berries

    • whitewoods on October 06, 2019

Of course, the nutritional information in this book is very good and comes decades too late for millions of people, but I don't think I could ever conform to this diet. I made these pancakes for Mom and me because they sounded appealing, and I opted to put syrup on the table for anyone who might want to add just a little bit. Well, both of us wound up needing quite a bit of it. Berries are nice and all, but they're not very sweet. And, even with all of those eggs, the pancakes didn't taste very good, as there's no sugar in them and only almond flour and coconut flour. I don't have a gluten allergy, but I have yet to taste a gluten-free baked recipe or product that actually tastes good. Gonna try a savory recipe from this book tomorrow night and will report back. I have higher hopes for that one.

  • Bistro flank steak salad with baby green beans

    • whitewoods on October 07, 2019

Very good, but I think I may still try out some other steak-salad recipes. Steak salad is one of my all-time favorite dishes. This was my first time making it for myself though. Up until now I had only ever had it in restaurants.

  • Oven caramelized red onions

    • whitewoods on October 07, 2019

Very good. Easier than caramelizing in a skillet.
