Imperial pork chops- page 145. Very tasty recipe that requires marinating the pork chops for couple of hours. You then deep fried the pork chops and braised them in the sauce for a minute or so. The sauce used "hot catsup", I have no idea what that is, so I used a 2:1 mixture of regular catsup and sriracha.

  • Sauteed beef with snow peas

    • chawkins on June 24, 2023

This was pretty good. I used garden peas, threw in a few broccoli florets, also from the garden, had no mushrooms, so added a bit of julienned carrots for color.

  • Steamed ground pork patty

    • chawkins on May 16, 2025

Could use a little bit more salt. I did use the optional mushroom, added 4 instead of the three called for because they were tiny.

  • Stir-fried prawns

    • chawkins on September 24, 2022

Ate these a lot when I was a child, even though they were all cooked with the shells on, but somehow the dish had gone out of style. This is a very good rendition and it was much easier to eat without the shell but I preferred them with the shells on, nostalgia I guessed.

  • Pan-fried noodles with shrimp

    • Shelmar on July 14, 2021

Easy for beginner, clear instructions; worth repeating. Do not start cooking till all prep is done.
