    Le Verdure con Aglio pg.169. Love this made with Swiss chard . We increase the balsamic a bit for more acidity. Sometimes I add golden raisins and/or crumbled crisp bacon. Sometimes I substitute shallots for the garlic.

    Salsicche e Fagioli pg.161. Mixed reviews on this one. Liked the sausages with the balsamic a lot. The beans were blah. Would make the sausages again but pass on the beans.

    Arrosto di Vitello o Porchetta pg.159. Made this as written, with pork, as veal is hard to find here .It was OK but won't make again. The sauce was pretty thin and needed some thickening.

    Fettuccine con i Gamberi e Limone pg.86. I have made this with scallops, with shrimp and with a combo of shrimp and scallops. It's yummy either way and comes together in minutes.

    Mazzamurru pg.49. Loved this and will make again. The translated title indicates the inclusion of onion, but onion isn't listed in the ingredients. Followed the recipe as written, with no onions, and didn't miss them at all. This is comfort food for sure.

    Pasta Mista in Brodo alla Zenzaro pg.42. Simple flavorful pasta soup. Unusual in that the broth includes fresh ginger. I make it with all tortellini rather than a combo of tortellini and ravioli, as the smaller tortellini is better suited for a soup. It's a keeper.

    Peperoni pg.14. Very colorful room temperature salad with 3 colors of bell peppers. The combination of raisins and vinegar with the tomatoes, olive oil,vinegar and seasonings is a perfect flavor balance.

    Bietole Agrodolce pg.12. Nice sweet sour beet recipe. The addition of chopped fresh mint really brightens the taste.
