Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Lemon-poppy seed bread

    • sdeathe on February 23, 2022

One of my very favourite recipes. So easy, and so delicious, nice and lemon-y. Freezes well.

  • Pear bread with vanilla and ginger

    • sdeathe on November 03, 2025

Easy to pull together, and had a lovely fragrance while in the oven. I baked it for 55 minutes at which time the cake tester came out clean, however, this could have used the full 60 minutes. Slightly underdone in the centre. Very gentle taste, with vanilla prominent, and the ginger in the background. 7/10. However, this is really delicious when toasted until the edges are very dark and then slathered with butter. Better than untoasted. 9/10
