      When the recipes in this book are on, they're spot on. When they're not... you wind up with rock-hard potatoes that are impossible to smash and a green pesto with so many ingredients, you're left asking "why do I only taste lemon in this?" I'm going to finish cooking the salmon and take it for lunch today, but the rest of this dish could use way, way more cooking time than stated.

      This recipe is replacing my previous buttered noodle recipe, but I am bringing two elements from the old recipe forward to this one: two beef bouillon cubes in the cooking water and thinly sliced sauteed sirloin added for protein to make a main dish. Another suggestion from a friend: crushing garlic into it.
