Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Scandi meatballs with cream sauce (Köttbullar)

    • Cati on November 18, 2017

The instructions tell you to cook the onions and put aside. Soak the bread in milk for 30 minutes. From then on there is no more mention of these two items. Presumably you would mix them into the mince. I wonder how many other mistakes are in this book.

As Cati noted (and I'm so glad I read their review otherwise I may have tripped up) the recipe is poorly written and this could lead to a failed cook. Aside from this, the result was a comforting midweek meal that everyone enjoyed and that I would cook again.

  • Salmon, smoked haddock and pea chowder

    • lou_weez on April 19, 2020

This was so easy, quick and delicious. I blended the potatoes as we like a smoother soup and added smoked mackerel as I couldn't find haddock.

  • Smoked haddock, potato and chorizo tortilla omelette

    • lou_weez on November 03, 2020

I used a whole smoked trout in this delicious omelette.

  • Leek and chicken risotto

    • lou_weez on April 22, 2020

Good midweek meal. Would be better with some added veges - peas, baby spinach, asparagus.
