  • Scandi meatballs with cream sauce (Köttbullar)

      The instructions tell you to cook the onions and put aside. Soak the bread in milk for 30 minutes. From then on there is no more mention of these two items. Presumably you would mix them into the mince. I wonder how many other mistakes are in this book.

      As Cati noted (and I'm so glad I read their review otherwise I may have tripped up) the recipe is poorly written and this could lead to a failed cook. Aside from this, the result was a comforting midweek meal that everyone enjoyed and that I would cook again.

      This was so easy, quick and delicious. I blended the potatoes as we like a smoother soup and added smoked mackerel as I couldn't find haddock.

      Good midweek meal. Would be better with some added veges - peas, baby spinach, asparagus.
