This book really surprised me. I own several Marie Claire books but must admit I have never cooked from them. Firstly, this is one gorgeous book. The back cover has two thick elastics to mark your page and the inside front cover has pads of sticky notes marked "Favourites" "Quick and Easy" and "Special Occasion" so you can tab recipes as you make them. The recipes themselves are, as you would expect, the best from the first 10 years of the magazine. What I liked about this particular book is each recipe has a photo and an accompanying post it style note from Michele giving the inspiration and/or the reason it has become a favourite. I love this and it's the first time I have looked through one of her books and felt compelled to try something out. If nothing else this is an enjoyable recipe book to read and I'm glad I finally added it to my collection
