    • etcjm on October 02, 2018

This is a regular. Frozen raspberries make it easy to rustle up. Substantial tasty dessert, especially with creme fraiche! Takes longer to cook and seems to sometimes need covering with foil to stop it browning too much. make sure it's cooked in the middle or it goes soggy quickly.

  • Watermelon and feta salad

    • ithyt on October 06, 2015

      2.15 Didn't have celery - ok - try again w celery.

5.13 Used left over butter on pizza - as dessert - yum!! Basic - sweet butter.

  • Spiced carrot soup

    • etcjm on April 25, 2019

This was a use-it-up-soup and was really tasty. I decreased stock to 1 litre to prevent having a vat full of soup for two. I didn't add the cream and openly admit to adding a large handful of fresh coriander and blending it chunky, not smooth. So easy, so tasty, so cheap. All of the books I have, I couldn't find a carrot and coriander recipe so adapted! Definitely a do again and again.

  • Corned beef with white sauce

    • ithyt on October 07, 2015

8.13 Great twist on white sauce.

  • Beef in red wine

    • ithyt on October 07, 2015

      6.13 Yummy

  • Berry coulis

    • peaceoutdesign on February 27, 2026

I substituted 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid for each tablespoon of lemon juice because I used all my lemons in delicious cocktails the night before. I made this as a topping for a cheesecake.

  • Baked beetroot

    • ithyt on October 07, 2015

11.13 Yummy - go easy on molasses.
