Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Raspberry, apple and almond crumble

An excellent crumble recipe. I would consider the ‘optional’ flaked almonds to be ‘non-negotiable’ for the textural difference that they provide.

  • Fennel, leek and cauliflower soup

    • e_ballad on November 11, 2016

Dull. Instead of this dish being a sum of its parts, it lost all the nuances of the three main ingredients. As it wasn't to anyone's liking, we ended up repurposing this by reducing it further & using it as the sauce for baked pasta with smoked fish (that turned out really tasty!). As a soup, don't bother.
