I made several recipes from this book and was disappointed with most. The Pizza Chena was the best, but it had problems. After I unmolded it, the dough on the bottom and sides was raw. Not cooked in the slightest. I put it back in the oven, covering the top so it wouldn't be too brown, and cooked it for another 40 minutes. This is just unacceptable in a recipe. The Torta Pasqualina was so boring that I didn't even serve it. The black and white biscotti didn't hold together, and they were huge. I had planned to make the cover recipe - cookie cake, but decided it was too risky after the issues with the other recipes. Having such a large party with so many recipes from so many books gave me the opportunity to evaluate lots of cookbooks. I was most disappointed with this one.
