Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Crumbed flathead with chilli sauce

    • fairyduff on April 09, 2020

Made a perfect coating which kept the fish delectably moist. I sliced the fish into goujon strips to be confident of the cooking time. I also used this to coat tofu strips for my teen - it's nice when the dish being prepared can take a small side-step to cater for other dietary needs.

  • Rob's Christmas ham with fennel coleslaw

    • e_ballad on January 11, 2021

The method instructions make no sense: glaze with apricot jam, then ‘pack on’ the ground spices? I’d end up with more glaze on me, rather than the ham. The quantity of star anise really overwhelmed this.

  • Cauliflower with bacon, Taleggio and breadcrumbs

    • e_ballad on April 08, 2020

You will need to precook the cauliflower for much longer than specified. The sauce is very tasty.
