The Horseradish Crusted Salmon is absolutely delicious!

Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Flank steak with roasted peppers and chimichurri

    • mharriman on May 30, 2025

It was pretty good. I marinated my steak in the sauce for 4 hours, and the end result was a steak on the chewy side. Being a lean cut of beef, it may have benefited from a longer marinating time. The “roasted” peppers were tasty. I served this with oven-roasted red potatoes with garlic. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Malbec wine went well with the steak.

  • Orange glazed pork tenderloin

    • mharriman on March 25, 2024

We thought this was just okay. If I were to try it again, I'd reduce the cook time to 18 minutes. The tenderloin was a bit overcooked at 23 minutes in my Air fryer. The sauce was good but nothing I'd rush back to make again.

  • Sweet and sour pork

    • mharriman on July 30, 2023

This was my first attempt using my new Airfryer, and I knew going in I hadn't chosen one of the “easy” recipes. After completing all the prep, though, the actual air fryer and stovetop cooking was easy, and the directions were straightforward. We loved the result! The bell peppers were especially tender and moist, and the pork was cooked perfectly. The sauce was quite tasty. I served the pork and sauce over jasmine rice. Will repeat.

  • Teriyaki chicken drumsticks

    • mharriman on August 16, 2023

I was curious to try this recipe as I've made teriyaki chicken with other recipes that call for broiling or stove top grilling. Even though I marinated the chicken legs for 4 hours, and basted the legs halfway through cooking, the teriyaki flavor was very subtle- hardly noticeable- which kind of defeats the purpose of all the sauce. The air fryer saved about 7 minutes of cooking time compared to my conventional recipes- not enough saved time or good enough flavor for me to repeat.

  • Maple bacon wrapped chicken breasts

    • mharriman on June 20, 2024

Tasty. My husband and I thought this was very good. I made the dressing ahead of time, and had dinner on the table in 30 minutes. Perfect entree for a hot night when you don't want to add oven heat to the house. Served with salad and quick sauteed zucchini. Definitely worth repeating any time.

  • Crispy fried onion chicken breasts

    • mharriman on July 31, 2023

I cut my 7-ounce breasts to make them 5 ounces each( as in directions) and found the three step dredging process very easy. The 13 minute air fry cooking produced moist meat and a crust that was crunchy as described. What's not to love?!

  • Simple buttermilk fried chicken

    • mharriman on June 06, 2025

Disappointing. I’ve been trying to get more use out of my air fryer. For this buttermilk chicken fried recipe , the results weren’t nearly as good as my Cooking Light oven fried chicken, which is basically the same recipe and takes 35 minutes. Tonight, After 20 minutes of air frying, the bone in chicken breasts were nearly raw on the inside and the coating crispy but bland.

  • Thai turkey and zucchini meatballs

    • mharriman on July 13, 2024

I mixed all the ingredients together ahead of cook time and let the meatballs solidify a bit more in the refrigerator. The meatball mixture was initially not firm at all and sticky. They were still a bit loose and sticky after being in the fridge. These need delicate handling when putting in the air fryer. I made 14 larger meatballs instead of 24 smaller ones and cooked them for a couple minutes longer than the time stated. With the sweet Thai chili sauce, these were very good, especially over rice noodles.

  • Shrimp, chorizo and fingerling potatoes

    • mharriman on August 14, 2023

Easy recipe to follow. I prepped everything first, and cooking was a snap. I made a couple small changes: my grocer didn’t have fingerling potatoes, so I bought baby potatoes and cut them into one inch pieces. I couldn’t find raw chorizo in casings, but the butcher at Whole Foods was very helpful, showed me their ground raw chorizo, and suggested I use that and shape it into meat balls. That worked beautifully. Two of us enjoyed this simple, tasty dish. The air fried shrimp was delicious. I served the dish with a side salad, as suggested. Good enough to repeat.

  • Crunchy and buttery cod with Ritz cracker crust

    • mharriman on January 31, 2026

This recipe for two was easy and turned out well. Ten minutes of air frying created a moist, tender interior and just enough crust to be satisfying. The melted butter brushed on the cod underneath the crushed crackers pushed the cod to the next level- better than any English pub version I've eaten. I served the fish fillets with roasted potatoes and steamed petite green peas for a traditional pub plate. Total prep, oven & air fry time was 30 minutes.

  • Horseradish crusted salmon

    • mharriman on August 19, 2023

I used King Salmon fillets and they were raw in the center with the prescribed air fryer cooking time. For next time, when using this salmon species, I will cook the salmon for 2- 3 minutes without the topping, then add the topping and air dry as directed for a total of +2-3 more minutes. The fully cooked parts of the salmon and horseradish/ mustard topping were delicious. Good enough to try again.

  • Spaghetti squash and kale fritters with pomodoro sauce

    • hbakke on September 21, 2023

Nice dinner the first night, but we doctored the leftovers with added Parmesan and red pepper flakes and quite liked the results the second night. I would make this again.

  • Parmesan asparagus

    • mharriman on August 19, 2023

A game changer. My asparagus was perfectly cooked and the parmesan cheese topping was partially but not totally melted, which made for a pleasant topping. I was worried the cheese would become congealed and gloppy but it didn't. I will remember to use this air fryer recipe at Holiday time when the stove and oven are overused.
