Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Drop dead! pecan spice cookies [Betty Fussell]

I love spice cookies, but this one is not my favorite because of the pecans. I prefer my spice cookies to be chewy, and the nuts seemed out of place. While the spice combination was great, it overpowered the taste of the pecans. Although the taste improved with age, I probably won't be repeating this recipe.
