This is a fabulous book, it's not just soup, but soup paired up with a salad and a bread. Although I confess to focusing on the soups anyway. Every single soup I have made from this book is really good! Loved the Cauliflower Chowder recipe, it is good to serve my vegetarian friends. There are many good vegetable focused soup recipes in this book.

Simple and light soup that I liked but didn't love. I thought it was a typo with the large amount of peas used, but everything came together nicely in the end.

Publishers Text

We eat on the run so often these days that it's become even more important to focus on preparing balanced, nourishing food. The book is divided into 50 menus, each including a soup, a bread, and a salad recipe whose flavors harmonize, although the separate elements can also be mixed and matched. Best of all, the soups don't require home-made stock, many (but not all) of the breads are quick breads, and the salads range from light to hearty.
