Poached eggs with prosciutto-wrapped asparagus and Bearnaise sauce (pg 232) is a kicked-up eggs Benedict. This is excellent.

Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Tunisian lamb burgers

    • Gio on May 22, 2016

Pg. 87. We have made this recipe three times now and love the way all the seasonings create a delicious, well seasoned burger that never fails to please. All the flavors of The Middle East are there. We love it as written with no inclination to change anything.

  • Artichoke, salami, and Fontina panini

    • Gio on February 21, 2016

Pg. 145. If it weren't for user error (mine) this would have been quite a tasty serviceable sandwich. In my infinite wisdom I decided to use up a few larder items that were on hand. I switch out spicy leftover chicken slices for the Genoa salami (my fave, BTW), and mozzarella di bufala for fontina, and used garlicky focaccio instead of ciabatta. I ought to have known better. However even with the marinated artichokes and balsamic vinaigrette the flavor of the whole was lacking. I have it in mind to redo this recipe with all the original ingredients, the very next time we have another Sandwich Saturday.

  • French bread pizza sandwiches with hot Italian sausage

So good! The garlic butter was a delicious addition. I’ll be making these often.

    • jimandtammyfaye on July 02, 2022

Star of the dish was garlic bread that was base of the pizza. I may never make the pizza again but the garlic bread could frequent my menu.

  • Orange and herb-roasted lamb pita

    • bellatavia on February 13, 2026

We made this with lamb cubes, and roasted for only ~25 minutes. Absolutely scrumptious -- would also make just a fabulous leg of lamb for plating, no sandwich necessary!
