Halved and made as a pasta dish.

This is my first recipe from this cookbook. I really like Adam, and most of the meals he creates, and this one was an interesting one. He used a traditional Chinese recipe and converted it into a more Mediterranean meal. I really liked the giant meatball, it had lovely flavours and was very light. He didn't use the traditional ingredients, using a mixture of pork and beef mince, semi-firm tofu and zucchini instead. The tomato sauce, however, even though it was nice, after cooking it in the oven for about one and a half hours, I found it a bit too tomatoey and needed to be more balanced. It improved by adding the parmesan cheese at the end. I have never eaten the traditional Lion's head meatballs, and therefore I cannot compare them, but I am now eager to try them sometime.

Loved this! Soooooo much flavour, though you'd never know to look at it. And those crispy breadcrumbs set it off so beautifully. A very quick and tasty meal.

This was very good but ate very dry. It needed something.... a can of diced tomatoes maybe?

  • Double- chocolate skillet cookie

Makes a super thick cookie that is very delicious with ice-cream. We used 3/4 of the dough in a 21cm pan and froze the rest to bake as individual cookies. I also reduced sugar to 60g white 60g brown and also swapped out the milk/white chocolate with semi-sweet/milk chocolate
