Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Wonderful waffles

    • lauren_8zaumk on March 05, 2026

Depends on the size of your waffle iron. I only got 4 out of this recipe but then again they were the size of a plate. Remind me of the waffles you get in a hotel

  • Even more perfect pancakes

    • rachel_a40gn2 on January 25, 2026

Really loved these. I used all buttermilk instead of buttermilk and whole milk. They were tender, fluffy, and easy to whip together. The 1 hr wait time was a surprise to me. I needed food on the table so I waited until I saw bubbles then cooked them. They were great!

  • The most perfect biscuits

    • Kn1tgrl on March 07, 2026

These were awful. Her recipe uses twice the amount of butter + 2 cups of heavy cream and hardly any buttermilk. They came out greasy and oily. Will not make again.

  • Soft white sandwich bread

    • Mtbike5280 on January 24, 2026

This made a very nice large loaf of bread perfect for slicing and making sandwiches.

    • holly_6rdxil on April 10, 2026

A bit crumbly but I didn’t give it much time to rest before digging in. This was great as a sandwich and warm with butter.

  • French onion soup

    • Hillhan on February 14, 2026

Rich and delicious. Got rave reviews and the process was so much easier than other French onion soups.

  • P-Town's pizza sauce

    • randi_rlh51v on April 08, 2026

So tasty with the slightest touch of heat.

  • White chicken enchiladas

    • Mtbike5280 on January 29, 2026

I thought these enchiladas turned out great. The sauce is flavorful yet quite mild. I did not put the extra cheese on top to save calories, and the sauce has enough cheese to do the trick.

    • BrendaD1962 on April 03, 2026

We loved these enchiladas. They are very rich, but absolutely delicious. I used half corn and half flour tortillas. I’ll definitely be making this dish again.

  • Sensational stuffed shells

    • lauren_8zaumk on March 05, 2026

I used a jar of sauce instead of making sauce. It came out a bit soupy but good

  • Meatloaf, mastered

    • Kn1tgrl on March 07, 2026

Did not like. Needed aromatics like celery, carrot, and onions. Also, why must we put bacon on EVERYTHING???? Ick.

    • chelsea_k1rzes on April 05, 2026

I have turned meatloaf haters into lovers with this recipe. Say goodbye to dense, bland meatloaf

  • Slow-roasted chicken

    • Hillhan on March 27, 2026

Easy, and delicious. Stayed juicy and loved just letting it cook while I did other things.

  • Crunchy buttermilk fried chicken

    • lauren_8zaumk on March 05, 2026

I wish I could rate it 10 stars- SO good and easy to follow. Every step is important so be sure to follow every step even the ones that include waiting- it's worth the wait

  • Fabulous fish almondine

    • courtney_58smcu on January 25, 2026

Used gluten free panko, which was a bit tough. Will try again with regular panko. Very easy!

  • The creamiest, dreamiest mashed potatoes

    • EatinSnax on November 29, 2025

This is the best recipe I’ve used for “make-ahead” mashed potatoes. I made this 3 days before Thanksgiving so I wouldn’t have to worry about peeling all those potatoes on the big day, and it worked perfectly. The potatoes were just as creamy and tasty when I served them as they were when they were made. A keeper recipe when hosting big holidays for sure.

    • virna_j5xzhi on January 11, 2026

I have made these potatoes multiple times over the years and they always get rave reviews.

    • kris_v66xa7 on April 18, 2026

I make these every Christmas and everyone thinks they are amazing! Always a hit

  • I love this apple pie

    • naomi_72uffe on November 28, 2025

The pie wa delicious but way too sweet. I would reduce the brown sugar by half, at least
