      double sauce ingredients; also, add ground cayenne pepper since title indicates "spicy". GREAT recipe that entire family loved.

      Easy. Took suggestion to marinate meat in vinegar and rosemary overnight. Meat was definitely tender, sauce was fine (onions are added to the BBQ sauce).

      I'm culling cookbooks and my slow-cooker books were at the top of my list to go however I found a note in this book about this recipe. Evidently, many moons ago I made it and we thought it was excellent. I also added an undocumented amount of beer to the bbq sauce it seems. In any event, this note saved the book from the purge and I'll have to try this one again some day. I also subbed red bell peppers for the celery as I'm not a big fan of celery.

      These are delicious! I make them for every barbecue my family has all year. I cook the pinto beans in the pressure cooker to save time.
