Notes about this book

  • Kiyah on August 07, 2010

Being a noodle fiend, I'm always looking out for a good recipe. Two in this book are standby recipes for me, the garlic pork lo mein and the ginger scallion noodles. There are many more I would like to try in this book.

Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Ginger-scallion noodles

    • Kiyah on August 30, 2012

This noodle dish is a go-to recipe in my house. The simple ingredients go together quickly and taste greater than the sum of its parts. I like to add a little more sesame oil than it calls for.

  • Spicy Korean beef noodles

    • lhudson on April 29, 2015

Left out the Tofu and used more of the lean ground beef and it tasted great. The family really liked it.

  • Cinnamon beef noodles

Have made this many, many times and we just love it. Works well with bison, too. Best food for a cold day. Leftovers are divine.

We've made this many, many times and just love it. Best soup ever for a cold day. So easy to make, and works well with bison, also. The leftovers are divine! Every day it sits in the fridge it just gets better!

  • Scallion chicken with soba soup

    • aileent1 on June 24, 2012

Very good light soup. Very simple to make.

  • Red-hot Sichuan noodles

    • innerharbors on May 04, 2024

A favorite that I keep going back to. Make the dressing in advance and this becomes a quick, easy to prep weeknight dinner. I use pan fried yakisoba noodles which work well.

  • Rainbow peanut noodles

    • Jane on November 05, 2010

Tasty quick dinner when you have leftover cooked chicken. The Chinese peanut dressing can be made in advance and lasts up to 3 weeks in the fridge which makes this even quicker.

    • Kinhawaii on January 24, 2026

This is one of my favorite peanut dressings & we make versions of this often with different vegetables.

  • Spicy pesto soba

    • innerharbors on July 01, 2025

Fantastic recipe that's medium -easy for a weeknight. I think the pesto recipe is too heavy on the sesame oil, so I sub in half neutral oil (like grape seed) and add juice from half of a lemon. Often too with crispy fried tofu. Yum.
