Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Mango chutney fish balls

    • Barbarajoh on November 10, 2024

Really tasty and easy. Cooked in air fryer

  • Tahini dressing

    • hbakke on October 15, 2024

Not sure where I went wrong...twice, but this turned into some weird alien goo after adding the lemon juice. Tasted good but the texture and look of this was so unappealing.

  • Tomato & pepper dressing

    • averythingcooks on April 13, 2025

Surprisingly, this flavour combo didn't really work for us :(

  • Creamy feta dressing

    • No1Alicat on May 22, 2026

Good dressing - I’ll probably do this one again a few times!

  • Lovely lentil falafel

    • hbakke on October 15, 2024

We both liked these flavorful falafel. They were less dry and crumbly than the standard falafel. I served this with an arugula salad.

  • Quick Greekish salad

    • No1Alicat on May 22, 2026

Great dressing and lovely mix of ingredients - although I don’t really like chickpeas so will probably do without next time and add chicken instead

  • Golden pork & creamy pepper sauce

    • HighlandCook on January 24, 2025

This is delicious. I’d question if the quantities listed would actually serve 4 people but it’s well worth making a bit extra. Three of us shared this and we didn’t feel the quantity was generous but it really was very tasty and I will certainly make again. I wasn’t able to get any fresh sage so just used some dried but fresh would be lovely.

  • Pesto gnocchi Bolognese bake

    • averythingcooks on April 02, 2026

With a different Bolognese + the gnocchi, pesto & spinach all waiting in the freezer, this came together really quickly. I also added fresh basil when stirring in the spinach. World shattering? No, but fast, filling, tasty & a fantastic way to "shop your own kitchen 1st".

  • Easiest cornbread

    • gillsil on October 19, 2025

Wow, this is a great recipe! Cornbread is not really a thing in the UK but whenever I see recipes for it in US books I really want to try it. So I gave this recipe by Jamie a try and it was so easy and so delicious. It’s just throw all the ingredients into a bowl, mix and bake. As it’s just me here I made a half quantity and that made A LOT.

  • Garlic mushroom coddled eggs

    • bjebha on December 31, 2025

Tasty recipe for its simplicity. Could do with a bit more time to get the potatoes truly crispy

  • Garlic bread, bean & fish bake

    • Wende on October 03, 2025

A keeper! I wasn't sure about this one because my husband wasn't enthusiastic about it at all, but I decided to try it anyway. It was surprisingly delicious and my skeptical husband really loved it. My fishmonger had fresh, local American red snapper among the white fish choices and it worked beautifully. I made the called-for garlic bread in my air fryer since the recipe doesn't call for much, and making that plus blitzing it in the mini food processor to make crumbs was the hardest part of the recipe but 100% worth it. I halved it easily. I would absolutely make this again

  • Gochujang black beans

    • averythingcooks on April 14, 2025

I added some diced sweet & hot peppers from the freezer and skipped the tofu as this was a side dish for our main. They were okay but not the best "dress up" for canned beans I've made.
