      Surprisingly delicious! I also drizzled with sorghum syrup. I kept a few, dredged in flour but unfried, in the fridge for about a week and patted them dry before frying. They were not quite as creamy but still tasty.

This text takes the reader to the cold regions of the world, introducing them to traditional winter recipes as well as giving an insight into the cultures that originated them. It presents 150 warming, vegetarian recipes for the months of the year when fresh vegetables are harder to come by. Recipes include caramel potatoes, marinated parsley root with onions and olives, winter fruit soup, spiced cabbage, leek tart and wild mushroom dumplings.
