Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Apple, walnut, and mincemeat tart

I really liked this. The walnut pastry base was delicious though very crumbly and impossible to get out of the tin without it breaking up (but very tasty). I'm not sure how to overcome that (more butter?). The topping of mincemeat and caramelized apple was great. My apples didn't caramelize enough but I had not used all the 3.5 tbl of butter that was dotted on top as it seemed too much but maybe it was necessary?
