Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Bolognese pasta (Pasta Bolognese)

    • Indio32 on September 10, 2020

Used the suggested white wine. Really liked the use of tomato puree rather than whole tomatoes as it let the other ingredients shine.

  • Chicory with Béchamel sauce (Cicoria alla Besciamella)

    • Indio32 on October 08, 2020

Went to a north London Turkish supermarket to get some Aleppo pepper and they happened to be putting out the freshest looking white chicory I've seen in ages..... supper plans were changed. For sure chicory isn't for everyone but I really enjoyed this. I swapped out the ham for a quality bacon and the dish spent 20 minutes in the oven for the final bake rather than the 10 mins the recipe called for.
