Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Tagliatelle with cheat's meatballs and cherry tomatoes

    • treay on January 30, 2026

This was a very tasty recipe. It didn't take much to cook - I also cheated with the tomato sauce and used tomato passata instead of fresh tomatoes. Lovely mid-week meal.

  • Chicken and Taleggio jalousie

    • saarwouters on November 22, 2017

Wonderful and beautiful. Great to serve at a dinner party! Do make sure you have enough puff pastry. I didn't so I was left with too much stuffing. But I served it as an extra side. The house smelled great!

  • Eggplant and chickpea curry

    • WhatMsSwain8 on September 23, 2019

      AMAZING RECIPE

    • debkellie on May 08, 2022

What an easy curry! Freshly harvested eggplants (I used a mix of Lebanese & Italian) & very flavoursome. Would definitely make again. You'd never know it was vegan!

    • Dutchmary on August 28, 2023

Missed garlic, so added it. Very easy and quite tasteful

  • Blackberry frozen yoghurt with berry caramel

    • luluf on June 06, 2020

Unbelievably delicious - both the frozen yoghurt/ice cream and the berry caramel sauce. I will definitely be making again. It was very easy as the only cooking required was the caramel.

  • Thai beef curry with holy basil

  • Apple and passionfruit crumble

    • saarwouters on December 01, 2017

Delicious! De passion fruit adds a tropical and fresh note. Next time I will make the crumble by hand. It gets too fine in the foodprocessor.

    • luluf on June 22, 2020

Yes it was delicious, but agreed, the crumble was too fine. I wish I’d read the note before I made it. It was perfect with warm custard. The Granny Smith apples were the right texture

  • Brown rice and lentil salad

    • Melanie on November 01, 2015

Great salad that keeps well and incredibly simple. I used homemade tomato kasundi (using Matt Wilkinson's recipe). Makes a huge amount - 10 lunchtime serves for us.

  • Sumac lamb cutlets with fattoush

    • Dishyrishie on January 13, 2015

Simple and tasty. Cook lamb on BBQ for added smokiness.

  • Key lime pie with macadamia crust

    • aargle on September 28, 2013

This a great east tart. I've made it twice

    • luluf on June 06, 2020

I made this on aargle’s recommendation and it was very easy and a light pillowy texture that my guests all enjoyed. I couldn’t taste the coconut very much, so might put in a bit more next time
