  • XO pork stir-fry with Asian greens

    • debkellie on January 09, 2023

Very tasty: quick, easy. I added some sliced water chestnuts for a little more crunch...

  • Lamb cutlets with Moroccan beans

    • Dishyrishie on July 04, 2015

Quick delicious and a winning weeknight meal or one to impress friends.

    • e_ballad on January 12, 2017

I'd strongly recommend adjusting the honey - super-sweet, cloyingly so. Overwhelmed all other flavours.

  • Oven-baked Thai chicken curry

    • j_h on June 23, 2018

add a capsicum and green beans for extra veg

  • Maple-glazed duck

    • Lmucharraz on December 30, 2012

Duck marylands can be substituted with chicken marylands

  • Coconut pancakes with banana and creme fraiche

    • digifish_books on July 25, 2015

These are delicious served with the caramel sauce (p. 246).

  • Swedish apple cake

  • Caramel sauce

    • digifish_books on June 05, 2015

Delicious served with the Coconut and banana pancakes (p. 15).

  • Wonton soup

    • e_ballad on August 22, 2016

Ludicrously quick last-minute dinner option. In less than 10 mins, it's on the table. Will certainly not win any culinary prizes, but it's a go-to here for dinner in a hurry. We've taken to chucking some corn in to increase the veg intake.

  • Almond croissant pudding with creme Anglaise and raspberries

    • e_ballad on November 12, 2017

A bread & butter pudding, I was expecting the raspberries within the dish, rather than an accompaniment. Unfortunately, being out of season, I was using frozen raspberries that definitely don’t suit the recipe (unless you make a coulis to try resurrect the flavours). Having said that, the pudding itself could definitely be a stand-alone, though a poached/stewed fruit alongside might sharpen it up a bit.

  • Crunchy granola

    • e_ballad on November 24, 2019

Easy & tasty. I found it didn’t ‘clump’ like granola though, so it’s more like a toasted muesli.

  • Baja fish tacos

    • e_ballad on April 23, 2018

A really good recipe, but not quite in ‘wow’ territory. The spices didn’t convey much flavour to the fish, but visually loved the yellow crumb that resulted from the very small amount of turmeric in the seasoned flour.
