    The Cranberry-Pecan Coffee Cakes on page 104 are delicious and very pretty! I used homemade cranberry sauce on mine, and I highly recommend that adaptation. I made two in the small loaf pans (recipe calls for 4 of the 5.5x3 loaf pans) and they made lovely loaves for gifts. (I put about 240g of batter in each, I think.) I did a third one in 6-inch round cake pan. It was a wee bit small for the remaining batter. It wasn't a problem for the cake, but the cranberry-pecan topping, which bakes with the cake, bubbled off on the edges, and I lost some of the pecans and cranberries when removing from the pan. It wasn't terrible, but a 7-inch pan would have been better. I think I am going to try to bake it in a regular size loaf pan next time, and I would do more cranberry sauce and pecans and put that in the middle to make layers. If I do, I'll update with results!
