      OMG! What a beautiful, simple and delicious recipe! It's a keeper for me. I've made other recipes, they are all good with different notes. This one, a winner!

      Great recipe overall. I ended up adding a bit of SureJel to the filling as the cherries let off a lot of liquid. Also - not sure how much the almond paste in the crust really added to the overall pie so would not hesitate to just add more butter instead.
