Just added this book to my shelf and it reminded me how much I missed my Gourmet magazines. So many recipes that appeal. Tonight we tried:Fava-Bean Crostini – Gourmet Italian – p. 18 I picked this book up at Costco yesterday. A newish publication from the folks who are now depriving us of Gourmet Magazine. The photos of this antipasti had us salivating and since I just happened to have fresh favas from the market, we felt the stars were aligned! This truly is outstanding. Our beans were so fresh they didn’t need their skins removed. We especially enjoyed the peppery flavour of the arugula that’s mixed in w the beans, lemon, Parmesan seasoning and evoo. I wish we had more favas! photos here: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/799537#7422017
