Very good. Easy to do and always seems quite impressive. If you want to feed 4, you would need to do plenty of veg. Unless we're just greedy!

  • Quiche Lorraine

    • etcjm on April 11, 2019

I always struggle with tin sizes and this one shouldn't have been far off. The pastry was great, I normally cook gluten free so this was a joy! I added extra eggs and there still wasn't quite enough filling. But hey ho it didn't leak and it got eaten. Things like this are my nemesis and I'm determined to master them.

  • Roast pork

Brilliant recipe. Perfect crackling and tender meat

    • zoe_bjtylb on May 09, 2026

Only did the pork not these specific potatoes. Made sure joint was fully dry out of fridge all morning, crackling was excellent

  • Coronation chicken

    • teresa_3u2sef on May 30, 2026

The book recipe is for red wine in the mix, I followed this and it’s really not to my taste. Otherwise it is an easy recipe to make

  • Quick chocolate tart

    • etcjm on November 15, 2018

Yes it's easy, but it made way too much filling for the size tin (which was as detailed). Ended up putting the filling into 4 other ramekins so it didn't get wasted. Different pastry recipe as I eat gluten free. It is tasty and no doubt won't last long
