  • Manchego, fennel, orange & walnut salad

    • apattin on August 22, 2019

Shaving the fennel and the cheese makes a huge difference.

    • RobertaMuir on December 06, 2025

Agreed apattin - the finer slices of fennel and cheese definitely add another element

  • Fettuccine with black truffle

    • Elizabeth.f on January 03, 2023

Really good. Made fettuccine from recipe by Felicity Cloake. Used raclette instead of fontina. Also used truffled butter for half quantity of butter. Didn’t use full amount butter but added a little pasta water

    • RobertaMuir on March 06, 2025

Glad you liked the recipe Elizabeth.f - and thanks for the reminder about pasta cooking water. I always add some, but hadn't listed that in earlier pasta recipes. Have updated now. Also like the Raclette alternative to Fontina. Great photo too.

  • Chicken biryani

    • SACarlson on March 23, 2024

This recipe is wonderful. Not a horrendous amount of work and the food is delicious. We fought over the leftovers. Make the Churri sauce--it is essential to the dish.

    • RobertaMuir on December 06, 2025

So pleased you enjoy this dish SACarlson - it is one of my favourites and I agree, the churri is essential. It's delicious with tuna too for a pescatarian version: https://beinspired.au/recipes/recipe-tuna-biryani/

  • Black bean chicken with crispy noodles

    • Stephenn31 on September 20, 2025

Flavourful and the crispy vermicelli worked better than I had expected

    • RobertaMuir on December 06, 2025

Thanks for the note Stephenn31 - so pleased you enjoyed the recipe, those crispy noddles are a treat. They're traditional with pipes in black bean sauce, which is another delicious dish!

  • Scottish morning rolls (Baps)

    • Happykikkers on January 08, 2025

Mine didn't brown as nicely as the photo. But the insides look roughly the same. Pulled them out at 15 minutes. The ingredient list is inconsistent with the volume and weights and I realised too late so I just went with it. Maybe that's why they didn't turn out all too great? The dough also did not want to rise (not strange, it is winter and cold). I did like them with a little jam, but I won't make them again. Or at least not with this recipe.

    • RobertaMuir on March 06, 2025

Thanks for the feedback Happykikkers - I've gone back over the recipe and can't find any incorrect weight/volume measurements. I'm always keen to improve my recipes, so would appreciate details: [email protected]

  • Mandarin tiramisu

    • Foodycat on December 27, 2024

There are several key ingredients missing from this ingredient list!

    • RobertaMuir on March 06, 2025

Thanks for bringing this to my attention Foodycat - I'm not sure what happened there, I must have been interrupted part way through indexing. Have updated it now. Always feel free to contact me directly with any feedback: [email protected]
