      This is definitely an interesting quesadilla since you bake it in the oven instead of frying it in a pan and use olive oil instead of butter. We added some seasonings to our beans (chili powder and garlic). It would have probably been better if we'd not accidentally cooked it too long.

      My 10-year-old daughter had great fun making these. Plus, they tasted really good. We added a few seasonings (more salt, chili powder, garlic) because they're fairly bland otherwise. The methodology for making the pupusas turn out round rather than just a mess is great. You flatten it with your palm inside an oiled ziplock bag. Brilliant. We will definitely make this again. I made a Honduran slaw as accompaniment, similar to the one suggested but with cumin instead of cilantro. Perfect.

      These were quite nice and as i dont have that mich knowledge about pupusas the instructions came in handy. Should have paid more attention to the consistency, i made my dough too dry. Unfortunately my kids didn’t like these

      Very gloppy... you would need to add a lot more water than the recipe calls for. The kids weren't fans.
