    12/14/23 U.N. Plaza Eggnog - Far too sweet for my taste, though I love the idea of adding nuance to eggnog with a one-two almond coffee flavor punch! Used Trader Joe’s eggnog as the base, but because Amaretto and Kalua have a good deal of sugar themselves, it would have been better to either make a homemade eggnog to lessen and control the sugar, or source a less sweet eggnog to use as a base. As is, after initially tasting this pancreas bomb, I added whole milk to temper it a bit, then more Kalua because yummy coffee

    12/9/23 Confetti Shrimp - easy and delicious! Guests at our party gave rave reviews. Would be nice served over rice as well for a starter or main course.

    12/6/23 Fresh Pimento Soup: Really didn’t care for this soup because the flavor was so bland. I couldn’t help but compare to roasted red pepper soup which has stronger and sweeter red bell pepper notes. I added fish sauce and a touch of vinegar to try and give it some depth, but in the end it all felt lackluster.
