      this was easy to make a bit ahead although it doesn't need long time cooking. I served it with Israeli couscous salad. yummo!

      This is one of those 'near-kitchen-sink' recipes - I didn't have aged cheddar cheese at hand so just used strong, grated tasty cheese (I know, it's cheating :D. As previous member notes, great cold/at room temp. too! This dish got me through many poor uni student weeks and months.

      Could never find saffron (thank you Indian/Middle Eastern grocers!) or dried porcini mushrooms when I tried to make this which is probably why I could never successfully prepare though both of which are much easier to locate (I don't recommend trying to substitute the porcini with another variety of dried mushrooms).

      I could never find leeks whenever I made or attempted this dish so just often just omitted them.

  • Warm chicken salad

      Personal preference - never used watermelons or whole red chilli. Generally used chilli paste due as cutting chilli would burn the cuts in my hands for days (from playing stringed instruments).
