Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Braised red bean curd chicken

    • chawkins on June 13, 2022

Very good. I used bone-in chicken thigh because that is what I prefer for braising. Very similar to my mon’s with the exception of the addition of five spice powder which worked well with the red fermented bean curd.

  • Tomato-curry chicken

    • chawkins on September 12, 2022

Pretty good, not too spicy. I used garden Roma tomatoes.

  • Stir-fried cabbage with dried shrimp

    • chawkins on June 13, 2022

I made half a recipe using half of a head of cabbage from the garden. Added a pack of bean thread noodle as my mom did. Very comforting dish.
