Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Chicken and creamed corn soup

    • nicolepellegrini on March 15, 2020

Delicious and so simple - and if you're craving Chinese take-out right now but stuck at home this is one of those dishes that's really easy to replicate on your own. I did add a splash of soy sauce and topped with some sliced scallions.

  • Sweet and sour pork

    • nicolepellegrini on April 08, 2021

Very good for a lighter version of sweet & sour pork -- ie, without deep frying the pork. Used yellow peppers instead of green, and did add a splash of soy sauce to give the sauce the proper flavor.

  • Sesame salmon with shredded vegetables

    • nicolepellegrini on April 09, 2019

My SO liked this more than I did, I think. It wasn't bad but a little dry and in need of some sauce/moisture to liven it up. I drizzled the shredded vegetables and salmon with a some ponzu sauce and sesame oil and liked it better.

  • Dry-fried green beans

    • nicolepellegrini on August 21, 2020

These were just okay, lacking a little punch flavorwise IMHO.
