  • Eggnog-cherry nut loaf

    • nicolepellegrini on October 28, 2019

Finally, a way to use up some of the eggnog I've had in my fridge! I made mini-loaves and dressed up the recipe a bit by using fancy Italian cherries in syrup. Yummy and different, great for the approaching holidays.

  • Zucchini nut loaf

    • nicolepellegrini on October 28, 2019

A perfectly fine, standard version of a classic quick bread.

  • Banana-nut muffins

    • nicolepellegrini on June 05, 2020

A very good basic muffin recipe. I added a touch of cinnamon and topped them with some granular cane sugar before baking for a little extra texture. Not overly sweet, perfectly baked in 20 minutes in my oven.

  • Corn bread

    • nicolepellegrini on August 03, 2020

A super-basic corn bread recipe...but nothing wrong with that! I like that it isn't overly sweet (as commercially-made corn bread often is.)

  • Cheese braid

    • Zosia on December 23, 2019

Delicious bread. It's soft yet chewy and tastes of cheddar cheese. The braid is easy to form as the dough is very cooperative but I often bake as 2 loaves to use for sandwiches. I use aged cheddar instead of American cheese.

  • Pull-apart onion rolls

    • Zosia on June 11, 2020

I used the dough to make the pizza twists. Very easy to make and shape. Used 1.5tsp instant yeast. Could have used more salt.

  • Pizza twists

    • Zosia on June 11, 2020

I made these to use up some turkey pepperoni (about 1/3 cup chopped). I didn't have hot roll mix so made the book's dough from the pull-apart onion rolls. I also omitted the cheddar and increased the Parm to 2 tbsp. I made 10 buns instead of 24 small twists. Good but they needed more salt.
