An amazing event for cookbook lovers is happening soon!
March 23, 2026 by DarcieHave you ever dreamed of a festival that focused on cookbooks, held in a city that’s made for food lovers? Consider your wish granted: we’re excited to share news about Cookbook Week, to be held April 21-25 in San Francisco, California. The festival brings together celebrated cookbook authors, passionate home cooks, and food lovers for a week of immersive events that revolve around the art and culture of the cookbook. Hosted at several locations around the city, events include industry conversations, cooking classes, and dinner collaborations highlighting beloved cookbooks.

The schedule is impressive. In addition to dinner collaborations at notable area restaurants, you’ll find talks at Omnivore Books with authors like Hetty Lui McKinnon and Colu Henry; a Milk Bar popup from Christine Tosi; a cocktail party with Alison Roman and Brandon Jew; a live cookbook podcast happy hour; and a discussion of the past, present and history of cookbooks. That’s not all: there is also a bake sale at Kantine with goodies made by pastry stars Christine Tosi, Nichole Accettola, Roxana Jullapat, Justin Burke, Elisa Sunga, and Domenica Marchetti.
The week culminates in a marquee event called Headnotes, billed as “part literary event, part live performance, part culinary celebration”. Take a gander at the star-studded list of authors on the program: Ali Bouzari, Arnold Myint, Brandon Jew, Chuck Cruz, Crystal Wahpepah, Hailee Catalano, Harold McGee, Hetty Lui McKinnon, John Birdsall, Jon Kung, Justin Burke, Michele Norris, Nite Yun, Rogelio Garcia, and Soleil Ho. As if this list were not impressive on its own, we were fortunate to snag a sneak peek at unpublished details of the event. We are sworn to secrecy, but please know that it is going to be amazing.
