2026 Fortnum & Mason Award Winners announced
May 1, 2026 by DarcieThe winners of the Fortnum & Mason Food and Drink Awards 2026 were announced at a ceremony April 30 hosted by Andi Oliver and Angela Hartnett OBE, held at The Royal Exchange, London. This was the 14th annual Awards, which celebrate the richness and diversity in food and drink writing and broadcasting in the UK and Republic of Ireland. The awards were judged by an independent panel of experts including Ravinder Bhogal, Marie Mitchell, and Richard Bertinet. Without further adieu, here are this year’s winners:

- Food Book was awarded to Ruby Tandoh for All Consuming: Why We Eat The Way We Eat Now, a startlingly original exploration of today’s food landscape that leads Ruby to question how our tastes have been shaped.
- Debut Food Book went to Katie Goh for Foreign Fruit, which uses the global history of the orange to explore identity, migration and colonialism.
- Cookery Book was awarded to Indian Kitchens: Treasured Family Recipes from Across the Land by Roopa Gulatim which celebrates the wonderfully varied food that makes up a nation.
- Debut Cookery Book went to Omer Al Tijani for The Sudanese Kitchen: An Introduction to Local Food and drink, the first English language cookbook documenting Sudanese cuisine. It explores the fascinating fusion of meandering foodways that is Sudanese cooking.
- Drink Book honors went to Tristan Stephenson for The Curious Bartender’s Agave Safari: Discovering and Appreciating Mexico’s Tequilas, Mezcals & More an historical, cultural, spiritual, and geographical journey that explores the spirit of Mexico through its signature liquor.
- Debut Drink Book went to Millie Milliken for Tequila – A Tasting Course, a detailed guide exploring its history, production and cultural significance.
