New Le Creuset color alert
April 18, 2023 by DarcieThis is not a drill! Le Creuset has just unveiled its latest color, Shallot. On the Le Creuset website the company explains that the color is “named after the allium fundamental to French cuisine,” describing the shade as hovering “between the palest purple and pink with an extremely light whisper of lavender and gray.”

Unlike 2017’s Millennial Pink, Shallot is glossy instead of matte. The color is reminiscent of the Chiffon color although with more purple undertones. It’s part of what LC dubs the “next generation neutrals,” and the company recommends pairing this hue with the other colors in the collection – Oyster, Meringue, and White. While I really dig Shallot, it does not fit into my kitchen’s palette which has mainly blue-greens with a few splashes of red.
What do you think of this color?
