Brooklyn apron and bakeware designer Odette Williams’ Simple Cake: All You Need to Keep Your Friends and Family in Cake shares easy recipes with inventive decorating ideas for all your cake desires. With recipes for ten base cakes, fifteen toppings, and endless decorating ideas, this title makes whipping up a cake on a Tuesday afternoon a breeze. 
Odette states that the recipes here are her family’s go-tos. They’re the cakes she enjoys baking and her brood enjoys eating. She promises they are quick to make with most of the cakes not requiring beaters, and all can be simply dusted with confectioners’ sugar to finish. I love the clean layout of the book, the elegant photos and the fact that while these are simple recipes, they produce delicious results.
