Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Date and almond cake

    • Gatorbek on January 25, 2024

Made as written except walnuts instead of almonds which I prefer with dates. Nice complex flavor with the warm spices and tart pomegranate. It was great with a good pecorino cheese.

  • Farro salad

    • Gatorbek on January 25, 2024

This is excellent with any whole grain, farro as written, or quinoa, bulgar, or wild rice. The photo in the book is not the salad as written! Based on the photo, I included diced bell pepper and feta, which were nice additions. This is very customizable to ingredients on hand, and good balance of flavors.
